Weekend Championship matches

The intermediate hurlers lost to Naomh Eanna by 0-13 to 0-11 on Saturday. We started the match well but we disimproved from there and went in at half time level on 6 points each, and the second half was equally as painful to look at as the first, with both teams exchanging points until Gorey managed to pull clear to win by two. We now have a quarter final against Marshalstown.

The junior hurlers qualified for the quarter finals with a win over Buffers Alley by 2-12 to 1-07. We started the game very well scoring points from John Ivory and Ed Rowsome with a goal from John O Loughlin giving us a good half time lead, which we never looked like losing. It is still not decided who we will be playing in the quarter final.
