Biggest Loser Cycle

Biggest Loser Cross Country
A big congratulations to all who took part in the Cross Country run. On a beautiful sunny Sunday 134 people took part in the 4.5km run over ditches, through bogs and across the river, through the forest and up the hill and then the long stretch through 4 fields back home. The first 4 home were Paul Gibbons, Dean Fenlon, Conaill Cooper and Larry Murphy. A huge big thank you to all who helped out on the day, stewards, photographers etc. We are now in training for the next event – The big Cycle.

Registration night
Monageer Boolavogue GAA, Coiste na nOg and Camogie clubs are holding a joint registration night upstairs in the meeting room of the GAA complex in Monageer on Friday the 7th February at 7pm.
We would like to invite all parents to come and register their children on the night. New players will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate with them on the night.
Camogie membership costs for 2014 are as follows:
U18 €30.00
Student €50.00
Adult €100.00
Non playing member €50.00
The membership fee helps to cover insurance costs, referee fees, training equipment and the clubs costs for the year.

The Biggest Loser Fun Cycle will be held on the 16th February at 2pm. The long route is The Harrow, Tinnacross, Ballyhuskard, Oulart, Clone West, Tomnaboley Lower and finishing back in The Harrow. If you fancy a fun cycle but are not on a team you can register on the day and pay 10 euro. Registration begins at 1pm in the Harrow.

Biggest Loser
On Friday night the 10th January we launched our Biggest Loser Competition. 276 people weighed in on the night and are divided into 13 teams. Over the weekend another 39 weighed in. Entries have now closed for the competition and training has started. The teams are as follows: Tomsollagh, Da Killers, Tinnacross Rebels, Tempermental Superstars, Crane Cheetahs, Thin to Win, Cool Kat Killers, Ballymotey, Murtagh Warriors, The Hurt Knockers, Ballysimon, Kilcormac Crushers and Coolgarrow. The first part of the competition is the Cross Country (Bog Run) on Jim Gahan’s land in Tinnacross. This takes place on Sunday 2nd February at 2.00pm.
