    The big Weigh in takes place on Saturday Night in the Monageer Tavern to see who is the Biggest Loser 2014.  The weigh in starts at 8.00p.m.  Food will be served on the night.

    On Sunday last a crowd of 230 people lined out for the Race.

    A big thank you to all the runners, walkers, stewards, time keepers, drivers, photographers, and anyone who helped out in any way. Without your help this race would not have been possible. The weather cleared up at 1.00 pm to make it a most enjoyable afternoon.

  • Biggest Loser Cycle

    Well done to all who took part in the Cycle today. 100 people braved the elements on this bright cold day. Some took the short route through Clondaw and back to Boolavogue to the Harrow while the rest took the long road through Oulart. A big thank you to drivers, stewards, photographers

    and anyone else who helped. We look forward to seeing you all at the big race in 2 weeks time for the final event.

  • Biggest Loser Cross Country

    A big congratulations to all who took part in the Cross Country run. On a beautiful sunny Sunday 134 people took part in the 4.5km run over ditches, through bogs and across the river, through the forest and up the hill and then the long stretch through 4 fields back home. The first 4 home were Paul Gibbons, Dean Fenlon, Conaill Cooper and Larry Murphy. A huge big thank you to all who helped out on the day, stewards, photographers etc. We are now in training for the next event – The big Cycle.

  • Registration night

    Monageer Boolavogue GAA, Coiste na nOg and Camogie clubs are holding a joint registration night upstairs in the meeting room of the GAA complex in Monageer on Friday the 7th February at 7pm.

    We would like to invite all parents to come and register their children on the night. New players will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate with them on the night.

    Camogie membership costs for 2014 are as follows:

    U18                 €30.00

    Student          €50.00

    Adult               €100.00

    Non playing member  €50.00

     

    The  membership fee helps to cover insurance costs,  referee fees, training equipment and the clubs costs for the year.

    We look forward to seeing you on the night.

  • Blood Pressure Test

    In conjunction with the Biggest Loser, Bridget Sinnott and Mairead Roche have offered to carry out a blood pressure test for anyone interested.  Please call to the GAA Complex on Thursday evening between 7.30 and 9.00 pm to avail of this service.
