    The Big Road Race had a remarkable turn out yesterday. Congratulations to all the team members who took part and supported their team leaders. The final weigh in is on Saturday 9th March in the Harrow at 9pm. Good luck to all those involved.

    Camogie Registration Night

    The Monageer Boolavogue Camogie Club and Coiste na nÓg will hold a joint registration night on Friday 8th February upstairs in the meeting room of the GAA complex from 7 to 8pm. We would like to invite all parents to come and register their children on the night. New players will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate with them on the night.

    The camogie membership costs for 2013 are as follows:

    U18                    €30.00

    Student              €60.00

    Adult                  €100.00

    Non playing member   €50.00

    The membership fee covers the cost of insurance, training equipment and the clubs costs for the year.

    Monageer Boolavogue Camogie, GAA & Ladies football clubs would like to inform everyone that the Sponsored walk now STARTS at 10am on Sat 27th October.The change in the start time is due to the fact that Monageer Boolavogue U14 boys are in the county football final in St Patrick’s Park at 12.30pm.

    This will allow everyone to support the sponsored run/walk and the opportunity to support the U14 players.

    Monageer Boolavogue Camogie, Ladies Football & GAA Clubs are hosting a sponsored run (walk) on Saturday 27th October 2012 at 11am.

    The route is as follows: Monageer GAA Complex, Grotto, Oulartard, Tinnacross, Knockduff, Grotto and finishing in the GAA Complex.

    All U12’s must be accompanied by an adult.

    Bring the whole family on the walk and enjoy a morning outdoors while supporting your local clubs.

    All Ireland Camogie Final

    There will be a bus leaving from Monageer on Sunday 16th September for the All Ireland Camogie match in Dublin. To order tickets and bus seats please contact Emma on 087-9585673 before 31st August. Ticket prices are as follows: Adult €30, Students/OAP €15 and Under 16’s €5. The bus will cost €8 per person.   • M/B Intermediate Camogie

    After playing 2 games the team have 3 points in the championship. The team beat Gorey in Gorey on 4th July and drew with Blackwater in Monageer on 17th July . The match against Blackwater was a very intense game. With 5 mins to go M/B were 5 points down but with a goal and 2 points the sides were level at the end of the match with 3 goals 10 points each.

    It was a team effort with 6 girls scoring in the game. Mary Breen scored 1 goal & 1 point. Ciara Garahy scored 1 point. Rosemary O’Loughlin scored 1 goal & 3 points. Orla Redmond scored 1 goal. Amy Stokes scored 2 points. Amy Walsh scored 3 points.

    The next Championship match is in Monageer on 31st July at 7.30pm against Buffer’s Alley and the girls would really appreciate your support for this crucial match.
