Congratulations to Aidan Fenlon and the Ballysimon Hoofers on winning the Biggest Loser Competition.

330 people weighed in at the start of the competition on Friday the 10th January in the GAA Complex.  From then on the track at the pitch was busy every night with people training for the Bog run on the 2nd February, the cycle on the 16th February and the all  important Road Race on the 2nd March.  The big race was won by the Ballysimon Hoofers, as was the sponsorship but the Ballycarrigeen team “Thin to Win” led by Stephen Fitzgerald  lost the most weight.  A great night was had in the Monageer Tavern after the final result was announced.

A big thank you to Jim & Josie Gahan and Ted Nolan for the use of their lands at Tinnacross, to Daire & Eithne Turner for the use of  their premises after the road race and to Seamus & Mary Canavan for the use of their premises for the final weigh in, to all the stewards, time keepers, drivers, camera personnel & anyone else who helped in any way. Also a hugh thank to the leaders & their teams. This event would not be possible without all these people.

    13 teams took part

    Total weigh loss 1033.80 kg
