    Jersey & Shorts Appeal Update

    Fr. Sean Devereux, originally from Tacumshane now a missionary in Gambia is appealing to the people of Wexford on behalf of the children’s school in Gambia. They are asking people to donate children’s shorts and jerseys that could be worn as a uniform by the children.

    They also require paper, copies, pens, pencils, rubbers, sharpeners and ladybird books. There will be a collection in the Monageer GAA car park on Tuesday evening 16th September from 7-8pm if you have any items that you wish to donate to this worthy cause.

    Its on everyone!!! The legends hurling match is actually going to happen !! Come along to our Harvest Ball this Saturday night to see some of the past Legends of our club and county,  battle it out for the winner of the Legends Final. Stiff competition for places especially for the goal.  Teams have just been announced by both team managers Andy Fenlon and John Fenlon. Teams are as follows

    U14  – County football Quarter final V Bannow/Ballymitty in Grantstown on Thurs 4th Sept 6:45pm

    u16  – County Div 1 Hurling Quarter Final V Oylegate in Monageer Sat 6th Sept 1100hrs

    u12 – County North shield Hurling Semi Final V Ferns in Ferns Mon 8th Sept 6pm

    Underage Party in Marquee

    Our underage committee are holding a end of season party/disco for our u6/u8/u10 & u12 boys and girls groups this Friday 5th Sept in the Marquee at Gaa grounds. Schedule is as follows:

    6:15 – 6:45pm   — u6 hurling blitz ( u6 players to be at pitch 6pm )

    6:45 – 7:15pm  — Parents ” Wigs & Wellies ” Football match ( bring Cameras )

    7:15 – 8:30pm  — u6/u8/u10/u12 Disco in Marquee  followed by group presentations.

    The Monageer/Boolavogue U16 camogie team will be playing in the 12 aside Semi Final on Monday 1st September at 6:30pm in Ferns.

    U12 Footballers win County Semi Final!

    Big Congrats to our u12 footballers who progressed to the county final tonight by beating the Duffry Rovers in Coolree on a scoreline of 4-6 to 1-3. The lads put in a great team performance and confidence is visibly growing with each game that passes. This group are also in the replay of the hurling quarter final this sunday morning 1130hrs v St Pat’s in Camolin. Well done lads and to their mentors Stephen, Rob & Frank. Keep up the great work.
