On Saturday 7th March we had the final event for the Biggest Loser 2015. The teams arrived on time and were weighed. When all the points were added up i.e. Roadrace, sponsorship and weight loss, Knockduff/Clondaw Waist Removal Company led by Jimmy Gahan emerged winners with Ballycarrigeen led by Mag Ellix in Second and Crane led by Rose Breen in third. The individual weight loss was won by Donny Walsh. The committee would like to thank the leaders and their teams for all their hard work and for making this event such a resounding success. Music and refreshments were provided by Eithne, Daire & Fiona Turner for which we thank them. The committee would also like to thank all those who helped along the way, stewards, photographers, timekeepers, water people, Bridget Sinnott, Marie Moore & Joan Donohoe for checking blood pressure on the weigh in night, Ann Marie Walsh, Kevin Murphy, Ger Dempsey & John O Leary for their presentations on the Nutrition night, Sliabh Buidhe Rovers for the use of
their clock for road race, Jim & Josie Gahan, Ted Nolan & Danny Murphy for the use of their land for the Bog Run, Seamus & Mary Canavan, Monageer Tavern for the refreshments after the road race.
Approximately 1000 kg in weight was lost between all the teams and we sincerely hope you continue this healthy lifestyle. The lights will continue to be on at night on the pitch for anyone who wishes to continue their training in a safe environment/
